He kept the basic Bandmaster pre-amp design, including the cool tone stack and Cathodyne style phase inverter, but did tune up the input stage to work right and have headroom with a 12ax7 (vs the originals 12ay7). Though it was definitely cool, especially for old school blues tones. 3rd was a Victoria 35310 (this would be mid 90's), and I suppose my expectation was 'a 3/4 sized Bassman', but it seemed more like a bigger Deluxe, thick tone and quick to breakup. My second Tweed was a 59' Deluxe, a sweetheart amp. Tweed Bandmaster/Pro/Super Amp 30W or 15W Models Amps can be ordered directly here with the whole amount or we can do a 50 deposit to get started. Killer amp but a bit much in most cases, especially if you liked it turned up. Among the true holy-grail amps prized by guitarists and collectors, rare and highly sought after late-50s tweed Fender Bandmaster amps combined classic looks. Cool journey!
